The Creatve Power Of Holism

Have you ever talked with a person in the holistic field and discovered that they had a totally different definition then you do? We'll start by looking up what holistic means so... According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary.

Definition Of Holistic Is Defined As:
Of or relating to holism

Relating to or concerned with wholes or with complete systems rather than with the analysis of, treatment of, or dissection into parts (holistic medicine attempts to treat both the mind and the body)

What is Holism? (a Greek word meaning all, entire, total) is the idea that all the properties of a given system (biological, chemical, social, economic, mental, linguistic, etc.) cannot be determined or explained by the sum of its component parts alone. Instead, the system as a whole determines in an important way how the parts behave.

The general principle of holism was concisely summarized by Aristotle in the Metaphysics: "The whole is more than the sum of its parts."

What Does That Really Mean?

To explain what the definition of holistic means and how it effects us, let's go back to our childhood times. If you're my age 50's you find that both parents worked and we were alone to fend for ourselves.
What I mean is life always seemed off balance, where my parents were to busy working to enjoy life teaching me that we must comment to working hard and nothing else mattered.
As I grew up I became so far off balance that I lost everything. I worked so hard and forgot all about other avenues of life and so did many others. This caused the divorce rate to continue to climb. Creating a world unbalanced with goals thinking that would change once we became successful.

You know keep your head down, drive forward, hit your goals and then life would be wonderful. Only thing is keeping your head down I got blind sided by life and found myself alone with little regard for anything other then the success of the business I was in.

By the time I discovered the true definition of holistic it was way to late. I lost...
My Wife
My Kids
The Job I dedicated my life too
Vacations or Free Time
My Home
You get the point! By the time I found how to live a holistic life I had to start at square one.
Just Me!If you're like me when I first began to learn the definition of holistic I thought it was all about a spiritual life healing others through spiritual energy work.
Now I'm Learning The Definition of HolisticIs A Whole Lot More!
How do you live your life? There is so much more and it's so much fun! To live a holistic life means to bring balance in every aspect of your life. If one part of it becomes off balance it could effect every part of your life.
How I now look at things is a whole lot different and in doing this I found that life is becoming more passionate and fun!

How Can You LiveA Holistic Life?
As I stated before sometimes it takes a mentor to help us create a life full of passion and balance. When I first discovered how off balance I was I found a mentor that assisted me.
Now I have studied how to live a holistic life so much I am now a mentor for those in need. If you look around through this the many pages I have provided I did this for those not ready to have a one-on-one mentor.

But for those that are tired of trying and feeling like they take one step forward and two steps back I have a mentoring program that brings balance and passion out of those I work with.
I also find that through this work we find the inner strength that people have within them. More balance brings the best out of people to live their dreams and share them with the world.
The first step in bringing balance to your life is to make the commitment that you truly want to change.

TWO RULES ABOUTTHE HOLISTIC APPROACH TO REMEMBER:
All healing and balance comes from within yourself.
The best holistic approach is one that assists every part of a persons life, bringing balance to the entire person.
Holistic LifeNot only is the definition of holistic care intended to bring balance to the entire body, mind, soul, and spirit, but a majority of people become more satisfied due to the focus of getting to the cause, or root of the problem. This enables them to not just suppress or defeat it but to actually improve their entire well-being.
The definition of holistic is the perfect solution to create wholeness in every aspect of a person. Not just the healing of an aliment that plagues us every day but as a "WHOLE" solution to the problems that modern society brings into our lives.
I believe that the definition of holistic can lead us to a resource that will guide us toward a much healthier, happier, joy filled, passionate life bringing forward a more peaceful future.
